Oh this isn't so, is it?

And it came to pass in the Age of Insanity that the people of the land
called America , having lost their morals, their initiative, and their
will to defend their liberties, chose as their Supreme Leader that
person known as 'The One.'
cid:X.MA2.1259640437@aol.com
He emerged from the vapors with a message that had no meaning; but He
hypnotized the people telling them, "I am sent to save you. My lack
of experience, my questionable ethics, my monstrous ego, and my
association with evil doers are of no consequence. I shall save you
with hope and Change. Go, therefore, and proclaim throughout the
land that he who proceeded me is evil, that he has defiled the nation,
and that all he has built must be destroyed." And the people rejoiced,
for even though they knew not what 'The One' would do, he had promised
that it was good; and they believed. And 'The One' said, " We live in
the greatest country in the world. Help me change everything about it!"
And the people said, "Hallelujah! Change is good!"
cid:X.MA3.1259640437@aol.com
Then He said, "We are going to tax the rich fat-cats." And the
people said "Sock it to them!" "And redistribute their wealth." And
the people said, "Show us the money!" And then he said,
"redistribution of wealth is good for everybody."
cid:X.MA4.1259640437@aol.com
And Joe the plumber asked, "Are you kidding me? You're going to
steal my money and give it to the deadbeats??" And 'The One'
ridiculed and taunted him, and Joe's personal records were hacked and publicized.
One lone reporter asked, "Isn't that Marxist policy?" And she was
banished from the kingdom!
cid:X.MA5.1259640437@aol.com
Then a citizen asked, "With no foreign relations experience and
having zero military experience or knowledge, how will he deal with
radical terrorists?" And 'The One' said, "Simple. I shall sit with
them and talk with them and show them how nice we really are; and they
will forget that they ever wanted to kill us all!" And the people
said, "Hallelujah!! We are safe at last, and we can beat our weapons
into free cars for the people!"
cid:X.MA6.1259640437@aol.com
Then 'The One' said, "I shall give 95% of you lower taxes." And one,
lone voice said, "But 40% of us don't pay ANY taxes. So 'The One'
said, "Then I shall give you some of the taxes the fat-cats pay!"
And the people said, "Hallelujah! Show us the money!"
Then 'The One' said, "I shall tax your Capital Gains when you sell
your homes!" And the people yawned and the slumping housing market
collapsed. And He said, "I shall mandate employer-funded health care
for every worker and raise the minimum wage. And I shall give every
person unlimited healthcare and medicine and transportation to the
clinics." And the people said, "Give me some of that!"
Then he said, "I shall penalize employers who ship jobs overseas."
And the people said, "Where's my rebate check?"
cid:X.MA7.1259640437@aol.com
Then 'The One' said, "I shall bankrupt the coal industry and
electricity rates will skyrocket!" And the people said, "Coal is
dirty, coal is evil, no more coal! But we don't care for that part
about higher electric rates." So 'The One' said, "Not to worry. If
your rebate isn't enough to cover your expenses, we shall bail you out
Just sign up with the ACORN and your troubles are over!"
cid:X.MA8.1259640437@aol.com
Then He said, "Illegal immigrants feel scorned and slighted. Let's
grant them amnesty, Social Security, free education, free lunches,
free medical care, bi-lingual signs and guaranteed housing..." And
the people said, "Hallelujah!" and they made him king!
cid:X.MA9.1259640437@aol.com
And so it came to pass that employers, facing spiraling costs and
ever-higher taxes, raised their prices and laid off workers. Others
simply gave up and went out of business and the economy sank like unto
a rock dropped from a cliff.
The banking industry was destroyed. Manufacturing slowed to a
crawl. And more of the people were without a means of support.
cid:X.MA10.1259640437@aol.com
Then 'The One' said, "I am 'the One'- The Messiah - and I'm here
to save you! We shall just print more money so everyone will have
enough!" But our foreign trading partners said unto Him. "Wait a
minute. Your dollar is not worth a pile of camel dung! You will have
to pay more..." And 'The One' said, "Wait a minute. That isn't
fair!!" And the world said, "Neither are these other idiotic
programs you have embraced. Lo, you have become a Socialist state and
a second-rate power. Now you shall play by our rules!"
cid:X.MA11.1259640437@aol.com
And the people cried out, "Alas, alas!! What have we done?" But yea
verily, it was too late. The people set upon 'The One' and spat upon
him and stoned him, and his name was dung. And the once mighty nation
was no more; and the once proud people were without sustenance or
shelter or hope. And the Change 'The One' had given them was as like
unto a poison that had destroyed them and like a whirlwind that
consumed all that they had built.
cid:X.MA12.1259640437@aol.comcid:X.MA13.1259640437@aol.com
And the people beat their chests in despair and cried out in anguish,
"give us back our nation and our pride and our hope!!" But it was too
late, and their homeland was no more.

Obama has a suspicious number of fans across the U.S. named Ellie Light

LOL!  (  At the comments after the article! )  One from Ellie Dark, and another from DermDoctor come to mind.

http://www.cleveland.com/open/index.ssf/2010/01/letter_writer_claims_diverse_r.html

Just a couple dark thoughts..
D'ya suppose that "Ellie Light" is really L. E. Light,  (Lucifer Evil Light)?  That would  explain his/her being in many different places at once.  And do you 'spose that the 's' which was the only thing in the first email answer from him/her stands for 'satan'?  The dark one has an ego, you know, and wouldn't resist signing his work with a little footprint of a clue.   Ellie never did answer Eaton's repeated question of how he/she could have so many addresses in the letters to the editors across the country but - instead,  gave a long elegant high-sounding confusing rambling obfuscating answer (similar to some of Obama's speeches) with plenty of adoring excusing comments for her/his boy.

Read the article and the comments following and tell me what you think:

Not only in the USA, but unusual series of quakes in the Caribbean!

Hi Krsanna,
The USGS quake service has what seems to be an unusual series of quakes in the USA for the past few days...1/15 to now...  California,  Nevada,
Oklahoma, Yellowstone, Alaska and now Arkansas... Is there any indications in the Timestar  or other sources that indicate an imminent Yellowstone issue?  Do we just have a higher amount of activity around the world due to solar effects?

Dear All:  The first M-class solar flare in the current solar maximum (Cycle 24) erupted today!!!  Last December 16 TimeStar forecast that a window for larger flares (M- and X-class) would open at the end of January.  This forecast more than a month before the eruption was based entirely on the configuration of glyphs in the TimeStar.  I posted the forecast as a test, just to see how I close the TimeStar would get.  And here it is.  This window will remain open through February 12.  NASA's graph showing the solar flare is copied below.  Best regards, Krsanna

Just as a test, it looks like we could have larger solar flares in the range of M- and X-class around the winter solstice, roughly between December 20 and 26.  The next window for large flares in this range (M- and X-class) looks like it will be at the end of January through Febraury 12.  Higher activity in this solar maximum is just starting, and I'm not acquainted with its temperament but these dates look possible for some good-sized flares.

Best regards,
Krsanna

Quake near Cayman Island

Quake hits off Cayman Islands

January 19, 2010 -- Updated 1813 GMT (0213 HKT)
STORY HIGHLIGHTS
  • No immediate reports of injuries after earthquake off Cayman Islands
  • "There was quite a bit of shaking," says shop manager in George Town, Cayman Islands
  • U.K. territory in Caribbean about 600 miles west of Port-au-Prince, Haiti

(CNN) -- A 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck Tuesday off the Cayman Islands, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The 6.2-mile deep quake hit at 9:23 a.m. ET, 40 miles from George Town, Cayman Islands, the USGS reported. George Town, the capital, is on the western shore of Grand Cayman Island.

There were no immediate reports of injuries in the three-island chain in the Caribbean.

The British territory of the Cayman Islands is about 600 miles (1,000 kilometers) west of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, which was devastated last week by a 7.0-magnitude earthquake.

Tuesday's quake struck about 32 miles (52 kilometers) east-southeast of Bodden Town in the center of the southern coast of Grand Cayman Island.

It caused shaking at the Pedro St. James National Historic Site, about a 10-minute drive from Bodden Town, said Sonya Hydes, the gift shop manager.

"There was quite a bit of shaking," she said.

Hydes said she called her husband after the shaking stopped to see if their house was affected. He told her that he felt the quake but that it did not damage their house.

There are reports that the quake toppled power lines in Bodden Town, said Kafara Augustine, a news producer for Cayman 27.

Augustine said she felt the shaking from within her office in central George Town. She and her colleagues quickly evacuated the building, seeking safety in the streets, she said. The two-story building did not suffer any damage and from what she could see, everything else seemed unharmed during the quake, she said.

The quake startled Davy Ebanks, general manager of the North Sound Club, a golf course on the Seven Mile Beach strip of western Grand Cayman Island. He said he was reading about the earthquake in Haiti on the Internet when he suddenly felt shaking.

"I just bolted," he said. "It was rocking and rolling pretty good."

The trembling knocked some picture frames off balance and sent some mannequins tumbling in the pro shop, but otherwise did little damage at the club, he said.

About 215 miles (346 kilometers) from the temblor in Cienfuegos, Cuba -- a city on the southern coast of the communist island -- residents said they felt nothing.

The Caymans are about 167 (268 kilometers) miles northwest of Jamaica and about 140 miles (240 kilometers) south of Cuba, according to the CIA World Fact Book.

Haitians Cry, Pray for help in the ruins

My son-in-law, a  Miami-Dade firefighter/paramedic is involved in the rescue efforts going on in Haiti. He's called home several times.  Exhausting work - and heartbreaking. Pray for his safety, and the safety of all concerned there.

At a collapsed Caribbean Supermarket where search teams from Florida and New York City worked, rescuers late Sunday pulled two survivors from what had been its fourth floor. Officials said both were in stable condition, able to survive for so long by eating food trapped along with them. Earlier in the day, a policeman reported three other people had been rescued from the rubble.

Horror in Haiti - Anguish, Hunger, Confusion

Morgue Becomes Mountain of Anguish

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti — With chilling regularity, a pickup truck from the Haitian police or a taxi driver with a station wagon pulled up to deliver more bodies to the morgue. Flies buzzed on many of the bodies. Civil servants unloaded the cargo, their expressions hidden by white surgical masks.

The Help That Haiti Needs

Room for DebateGiven Haiti's political instability and crumbling infrastructure, what kind of aid should be sent and how?

Join the Discussion »

Hundreds of bodies, those of adults and children alike, were already piled outside the morgue, bloated under the blazing sun. Relatives picked their way around them trying to find the missing, trying to block out the putrid smell.

"They took away my daughter, finally," said one stunned man, Roilin Élysée, 58, who had watched men in a Nissan pickup with the word "Police" painted on its side collect her body from in front of the French Embassy on Thursday. "I do not know what is next for her body."

For many Haitians like Mr. Élysée, it was better not to think about what lay ahead.

"I'm trying to find my brother," one dazed man said as he stared at the pile of bodies. "Brother!" he cried a few times.

No one answered him.

A man dressed in white wandered among the onlookers, repeatedly shouting into a loudspeaker, "God is coming back!"

But the grim pileup of bodies all but masked one positive note: Haiti's barely functioning state had begun to work, if still just minimally, by sending the police to gather bodies. The police pickup trucks were virtually the first organized recovery efforts seen in many parts of the city.

The residents of Port-au-Prince, the capital, also began taking responsibility for cleaning up on Thursday: clearing streets, collecting debris and searching for trapped survivors.

"I heard several of my co-workers are alive some place inside there," said Pierre Ricky Constant, 24, an inspector who showed up Thursday morning, wearing a motorcycle helmet and armed with a tire jack, to start digging through the rubble of the Transportation Ministry building, where he worked.

"Tell President Obama we need his help," said Mr. Constant before beginning his search of the ruins with a few colleagues.

Next to Mr. Constant's ministry it was a similar story. The Ministry of Finance: destroyed. The Ministry of Justice: destroyed. The Fire Department: destroyed.

To get on with the task of picking up the pieces, the living literally still had to step over the dead on this city's streets. Even as the police picked up what bodies they could, others that were shrouded in white sheets or that had been simply dragged outside without any covering lined the sidewalks.

A block from the crumbling presidential palace, close to the morgue, a group of about 10 young men ran toward a reporter, yelling: "Hey! Food! We are hungry! Do something!"

Doing anything remained a logistical nightmare. Electricity remained nonexistent. Gasoline remained in short supply. Thousands remained camped in parks, in the street, under trees. One of the biggest such camps was in the park of Champs Mars near the presidential palace.

"My home and my store are destroyed, so we are staying here," said Deliverance Sanveur, 49, a shop owner who was staying under a sheet in the park with 15 of her relatives.

Still, nothing approached the misery in front of the morgue, which is almost adjacent to the general hospital. Outside the hospital, the wounded waited patiently for treatment. Those who died during the wait were simply dragged next door to the morgue.

In the waiting area for those about to die, one woman moaned, her leg severed at the knee. An elderly woman gargled blood. Several people, hardened already to such suffering, walked by.

Among the bodies that had been moved a few feet over to the morgue, it was rare to find any that were identified. Someone wrote the name "Evise Melus" on a piece of paper and tied it with a rubber band to one woman's right toe.

No one working on the corpse detail could say where, or how, Ms. Melus would be buried. One morgue worker was pouring a concoction that looked like blue laundry detergent on the smelliest bodies.

"I will not go near that morgue," said Georges Michel, 55, a historian who spent part of Thursday driving around the city taking in the scenes of destruction and despair. "The lucky ones are those buried in their own yard," he said. "For those less fortunate, they will join the other corpses in forming mountains of the dead."
