Large Coronal Hole and Active Sunspot

Mitch Battros - Earth Changes Media One of the largest coronal holes of Cycle 24 is spewing mega-tons of plasma (charged particles) toward Earth. This wave should hit within the next 48 hours. A coronal mass ejection (CME) warning has been put out by the NOAA Space Weather Center. 3-day Solar-Geophysical Forecast issued Apr 27 22:00 UTC Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be at very low to low levels for the next three days (28-30 April). Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at predominantly quiet levels for the next 2 days (28-29 April). Unsettled to active levels are expected on day three (30 April) as a recurrent coronal hole high-speed stream becomes geoeffective.   In addition, sunspot region 1199 may produce M-class flares within the next 24 hours. Needless to say, this is not good news for those living along "tornado alley". My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends, and community for the loss of 245 lives lost to tornadoes.   Equation: Sunspots => Solar Flares (charged particles) => Magnetic Field Shift => Shifting Ocean and Jet Stream Currents => Extreme Weather and Human Disruption ~ Mitch Battros 1998   I am thankful the American Meteorological Society now uses space weather forecast to assist in placing an Alert, Watch, and Warning for extreme weather which includes tornadoes, straight-line winds, and micro-bursts.
